2020 Godsoe Chairs’ Lecture in Geriatrics

2020 SH/CAMH Godsoe Chairs’ Lecture in Geriatrics

Our first annual Sinai Health and Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Godsoe Chairs’ Lecture in Geriatrics took place on Monday October 19, 2020.

This one hour event titled “The Art of the Virtual Consult with Frail Older Patients and their Families”  was hosted by Dr. Samir Sinha MD, DPhil, FRCPC and Dr. Bruce Pollock MD, PhD, FRCPC. Dr. Samir Sinha is the Peter and Shelagh Godsoe Chair in Geriatrics, and Dr. Bruce Pollock is the Peter and Shelagh Godsoe Chair in Late-Life Mood Disorders.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, geriatric care providers have had to adapt to a virtual mode of care in a short period of time. This session brought together three experienced care providers, who shared their experience and provided some tips and insights on how best to administer geriatric care virtually.

This year’s speakers were:

Dr. Sarah Colman MD, FRCPC – Staff Geriatric Psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health

Dr. Angela Golas MD, FRCPC – Staff Geriatric Psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health

Dr. Barry Goldlist MD, FRCPC – Staff Geriatrician at Sinai Health and University Health Network

Please find below the presentation slides and the recording of the event.
